A. Public Website Privacy

This section applies to the public Rishta Yaqeen website at rishtayaqeen.com.

A1. Website Operator

A2. Website Access and Server Log Data

When this website is accessed, technically necessary access data is processed. This may include, in particular, the IP address, date and time of access, requested file, referrer, browser information, operating system information, HTTP status code, and amount of data transferred.

This data is processed to provide the website securely, stably, and in a technically functional manner.

Server log data is stored only as long as required for secure operation, troubleshooting, and protection against attacks. Unless longer storage is required in an individual case, log data is deleted or anonymized no later than after 14 days.

Recipients of the data may be technical service providers used for hosting, operation, and security of the website.

A3. Reach Measurement

This website uses self-operated reach measurement. Technical usage data is processed, for example page views, referrers, browser, operating system, device type, time of access, and approximate country of origin.

Reach measurement takes place without cookies and without advertising user profiles. The analysis serves to better understand website usage and to improve the website technically and editorially.

The data is not used for advertising tracking across other websites. It is not combined with data from contact requests.

Raw reach-measurement data is deleted no later than after 24 months. Database backups are retained for 14 days and then automatically deleted.

A4. Contact by Email or Phone

If you contact us by email or phone, the information you provide is processed in order to handle your request. This may include, in particular, your name, contact details, the content of the request, and other information voluntarily provided.

The data is deleted once the request has been fully handled, unless it needs to be retained for security, dispute resolution, or another documented operational reason.

A5. Local Browser Storage

This website uses local browser storage for display functions and user-selected controls, for example storing the selected color display. This information remains on your device and can be deleted through your browser settings.

The storage takes place in order to provide a display mode or function selected by the user.

A6. Questions and Requests About Your Data

You may contact us to ask whether we hold personal data about you, request a copy, or ask us to correct or delete it. We will assess and respond to requests according to the circumstances and any obligations that apply to the operator.

B. Rishta Yaqeen App & Matchmaking Privacy

B1. About This Section

This section explains how Rishta Yaqeen collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you create an account or use the Rishta Yaqeen matchmaking application at app.rishtayaqeen.com.

The Rishta Yaqeen service is operated by:

You can contact us if you have questions about your personal information or want information corrected or deleted.

B2. Information We Collect

When you create an account or complete a matchmaking application, we collect information that you provide to us. Depending on your application, this may include:

• account and contact information, such as your name, date of birth, gender, email address, and phone number;
• profile and matchmaking information, such as your location, nationality, languages, education, profession, financial or living circumstances, family background, marital history, lifestyle, personal characteristics, and marriage preferences;
• religious, health-related, or other sensitive information that you provide;
• photographs, CVs, and supporting or verification documents;
• communications and service records, such as communications with the Rishta Yaqeen team, match decisions, consent records, Terms acceptance, and payment records where applicable; and
• technical and security information needed to operate and protect your account, such as authentication records, IP addresses, and browser or device information.

We may also receive information about you from a parent, wali, family member, authorised representative, referrer, Rishta Yaqeen team member involved in your application, or, if you choose a third-party sign-in option such as Google, from that provider for account authentication and setup.

You may ask us about information we hold about you and request correction of inaccurate information.

The application asks detailed questions because providing a meaningful matchmaking service requires information about both you and the kind of spouse you are looking for.

B3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account and matchmaking profile;
• review and process your matchmaking application;
• understand your circumstances, values, preferences, and requirements;
• identify potentially suitable marriage candidates and manage introductions;
• verify information or supporting documents where appropriate;
• communicate with you and provide support;
• operate, administer, and secure the service;
• prevent or investigate abuse, harassment, threats, fraud, or other misconduct;
• handle complaints and enforce our Terms of Service; and
• comply with applicable legal requirements or handle legal claims where necessary.

Some information is necessary for us to provide a meaningful matchmaking service. If you choose not to provide required information, we may not be able to process your application or provide the matchmaking service.

B4. Sensitive Personal Information and Consent

Some information used for matchmaking may be particularly sensitive. This may include information concerning your religious beliefs and practices, ethnic or community background, and health, where such information is provided.

Where applicable data-protection law requires consent for processing this information, Rishta Yaqeen relies on your explicit consent.

Before you can use the matchmaking service, you will be asked to explicitly consent to Rishta Yaqeen processing the sensitive personal information you provide for the purpose of providing the matchmaking service and identifying potentially suitable marriage candidates.

You are not required to give this consent. However, because this information is integral to the Rishta Yaqeen matchmaking service, we cannot provide the matchmaking service without the required consent.

You may withdraw your consent through the privacy controls provided in the Rishta Yaqeen application. If you cannot access those controls, contact us at salam@rishtayaqeen.com.

If you withdraw the required consent:

• we stop processing your sensitive personal information for matchmaking; and
• your account, matchmaking profile, application, and associated matchmaking information are deleted, subject to limited information that we may be required or permitted to retain as described below.

Withdrawal does not affect processing that lawfully took place before consent was withdrawn.

Once your matchmaking profile has been deleted, you should not expect Rishta Yaqeen to be able to restore the deleted profile or application later. If you wish to use the matchmaking service again, you will need to create a new account, provide the required consent, and complete a new application.

Consent for sensitive matchmaking information does not include marketing, advertising, or unrelated analytics.

B5. How Matching and Introductions Work

Rishta Yaqeen is a human-led matchmaking service. We do not automatically decide who should match with whom.

Authorised Rishta Yaqeen team members review applications and consider the information and preferences provided by candidates when identifying potentially suitable matches.

If we identify a potential match, we may prepare a limited profile containing selected information relevant to deciding whether both candidates would like to continue with the introduction.

This may include basic profile information, general location, education or profession, marital or family circumstances, selected religious or compatibility information, and a photograph where appropriate.

The exact information included may depend on the candidate and the particular introduction. We do not provide a potential match with unrestricted access to your complete Rishta Yaqeen application.

Your phone number and exact home address, if held, are not included in the initial limited profile shared with a potential match.

The limited information is provided so that both candidates can decide whether they would like to continue with the introduction. Each candidate remains free to accept or decline a proposed match.

Where appropriate, selected information may also be communicated to a parent, wali, family member, or another person authorised to participate in the matchmaking process on behalf of a candidate.

B6. Photographs and Supporting Documents

Photographs uploaded to Rishta Yaqeen are not publicly visible.

Authorised Rishta Yaqeen team members may access photographs where necessary to review an application and provide the matchmaking service.

If we identify a potential match, a selected photograph may be included in the limited profile shown to that candidate.

Candidates may also provide CVs or documents supporting information such as nationality, foreign residence, income, education, or other information relevant to their application.

These documents may be reviewed by authorised Rishta Yaqeen team members for verification purposes.

Supporting or verification documents are not shared with potential marriage candidates as part of the matchmaking profile.

B7. Who Can Access Your Information?

Your complete application is not publicly available.

Access is restricted to authorised Rishta Yaqeen administrators, coordinators, matchers, and other team members who need the information to operate the service, review applications, verify information, identify potential matches, communicate with candidates, or administer and secure the service.

Selected information may be shared with a potential marriage candidate or an authorised family representative as described above.

We do not provide unrelated members of the public with access to candidate profiles or applications.

B8. Technical Infrastructure, Service Providers, and Communications

The Rishta Yaqeen application and database are operated by Rishta Yaqeen. Our server infrastructure is located in Germany.

Rishta Yaqeen is operated from Pakistan, and authorised persons involved in providing the service may access information from Pakistan. Personal information may therefore be processed in Pakistan and Germany in connection with operating and providing the service.

We may use hosting, networking, backup, security, or other technical service providers where necessary to operate the service. These providers may process or have technical access to information only to the extent necessary to provide those services.

Where applicable data-protection law requires safeguards or another lawful mechanism for international processing or transfers, we will apply the requirements relevant to that processing or transfer.

You may communicate with the Rishta Yaqeen team through services such as WhatsApp.

When you choose to communicate with us through a third-party communication service, that service may process information relating to your communication according to its own privacy practices.

We do not control how independent third-party communication platforms process information within their own services.

Communications with Rishta Yaqeen may be reviewed where necessary to provide support, operate the matchmaking service, respond to complaints, protect candidates or team members, investigate misconduct, or enforce our Terms of Service.

B9. How Long We Keep Your Information and Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and administer the Rishta Yaqeen service.

How long particular information is retained may depend on whether your matchmaking profile remains active, whether the information is still needed to provide the service, security and fraud-prevention requirements, disputes or complaints, and applicable legal obligations.

You may request deletion of your profile and personal information through the controls available in the application or by contacting salam@rishtayaqeen.com.

As explained above, withdrawing the required consent for sensitive matchmaking information also results in deletion of your account, matchmaking profile, application, and associated matchmaking information.

When a profile is deleted, we delete or anonymise personal information that we no longer need or are not required or permitted to retain.

Some information may remain temporarily in protected technical backups until those backups are overwritten or deleted through the normal backup cycle.

Limited information may be retained where this is required or permitted for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accountability, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Once a matchmaking profile has been deleted, you should not expect Rishta Yaqeen to be able to restore the deleted profile or application.

B10. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.

Access to candidate accounts, applications, profiles, photographs, and documents is restricted according to the authorised person’s role and responsibility.

Private candidate media is not made publicly available through the application.

However, no internet-based service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

B11. Your Information and Your Rights

You can contact Rishta Yaqeen if you want to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and, where applicable, where it came from;
• request a copy of your personal information;
• correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information;
• request deletion or restriction of personal information;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• object to particular processing where applicable; or
• raise a concern about how your information is being handled.

Additional rights may apply depending on where you live and which data-protection laws apply to you.

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, these rights may include rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, as applicable. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority.

B12. Legal Basis Where GDPR Applies

Rishta Yaqeen is operated from Pakistan. However, data-protection laws in other countries may apply in particular circumstances.

Where the GDPR applies, we may process ordinary personal information where necessary to take steps at your request and provide the account and matchmaking service, comply with applicable legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the service, preventing misuse, maintaining appropriate service records, and handling legal claims.

Where the GDPR applies to information concerning religious beliefs or other special categories of personal information for which consent is required, we rely on your explicit consent where appropriate.

You may withdraw that consent as described in this Privacy Policy.

The Rishta Yaqeen application may help authorised team members organise, search, and filter candidate information. It does not make final matchmaking decisions or introductions solely through automated processing and does not currently produce automated compatibility scores or swipe-style rankings.

B13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our matchmaking service, technical systems, data practices, or legal obligations change.

The current version and its last-updated date will be published on this page.

If we make a significant change to how existing candidate information is used, we may also inform affected users through the application, by email, or through another appropriate communication method.
