1. About These Terms

Rishta Yaqeen helps you connect with people who state that they are seeking marriage.

These Terms of Service apply when you access or use the Rishta Yaqeen public website, account, matchmaking application, or marriage service, or communicate with Rishta Yaqeen in connection with the service.

By using the service, you agree to follow these Terms of Service.

2. Respectful Conduct

Rishta Yaqeen expects candidates and anyone communicating on their behalf to treat our team, other candidates, and others involved in the matchmaking process respectfully.

Abusive, insulting, threatening, harassing, obscene, or repeatedly disrespectful language or behaviour is not accepted.

This applies to communication through the Rishta Yaqeen application, phone, email, social media, and any other communication channel used in connection with our service.

Each person is responsible for their own words and behaviour. We do not control private conversations or guarantee another candidate’s conduct.

You can report abuse, deception, incorrect information, or other concerns to salam@rishtayaqeen.com. We will inshallah try to help, but cannot guarantee a resolution. Your report may inshallah help us protect other candidates.

3. Candidate Responsibilities

Candidates are responsible for providing accurate, honest, and complete information to the best of their knowledge, including their contact details and preferences. Update your information or inform us if it becomes materially inaccurate or your circumstances change in a way that may affect matchmaking.

Candidate information and contact details are supplied by candidates and are not independently verified. We cannot guarantee that a phone number is correct, current, or reachable, or that the other candidate will respond.

We rely on the information and preferences you provide when preparing suggestions. If you leave an optional preference or requirement unstated, we may treat it as having no specific requirement on that point. We cannot take into account requirements you have not communicated.

You decide whom to contact and whether to marry. An introduction does not guarantee continued communication, engagement, nikah, marriage, or any particular outcome.

4. Confidentiality of Candidate Information

Information about another candidate that you receive through Rishta Yaqeen is confidential. This includes all profile details, all photographs (including additional photographs shared later), and contact details such as phone numbers.

You may use this information only to consider the proposed match and participate in the agreed introduction and matchmaking process. You must not disclose, show, forward, publish, or otherwise share it with anyone else, whether by showing a screen, sharing screenshots, sending messages, posting online, or speaking to others.

This obligation applies to candidates and any parent, wali, family member, or other representative who receives candidate information through our service. Information provided directly by Rishta Yaqeen to an authorised recipient does not give that recipient permission to share it further.

The confidentiality obligation continues after a suggestion is declined, a match ends, or your account closes. It does not prevent reporting concerns to Rishta Yaqeen or disclosures required by applicable law.

Breaching this obligation may result in restriction, suspension, or termination of access under section 6.

5. RY, Payments and Refunds

Creating a Rishta Yaqeen account, completing the matchmaking application, and providing your information is free. You will inshallah receive some initial suggestions without using RY.

RY are digital service credits you buy and hold in your Rishta Balance. RY are required for certain actions and services, including receiving further suggestions, proceeding with an introduction, and confirming an intention to marry. The app will inshallah show the required amount before you confirm an action. The price and quantity of RY will inshallah be shown before you confirm a purchase.

Repeated failure to respond to suggestions within the stated response periods may lead to higher RY requirements for future actions.

Two separate commitment stages use mutual confirmation:

• Initial introduction: after reviewing a suggestion, you can confirm that you want initial contact with that person. The required RY will inshallah be reserved from your balance when you confirm.
• Marriage intention: after initial contact, you can confirm that you intend to proceed toward marriage with that person. A separate amount of RY will inshallah be reserved when you confirm this stage.

At either stage, reserved RY remain in your account but are unavailable for other actions while awaiting mutual confirmation. If both candidates confirm within the response period, we will inshallah permanently deduct the reserved RY from both balances and proceed with that stage.

If either candidate declines, or the response period ends without both candidates confirming, we will inshallah close the match and release any RY reserved for that stage back to the respective candidates’ available balances. This releases only the reservation for that stage.

Once both candidates agree to initial contact, we will inshallah share the phone numbers they have provided with each other for that introduction. The marriage-intention deduction is triggered by both candidates confirming their intention, rather than by a wedding taking place.

RY permanently deducted following mutual confirmation are not restored merely because either candidate later changes their mind, loses interest, or decides not to continue. A candidate’s failure to respond after contact details have been shared does not by itself restore those RY.

Deleting your account ends your active introductions and marriage intents. All remaining RY, including reserved RY, are forfeited. The other candidate’s reservations are released; RY already charged are not restored.

RY purchases are non-refundable. RY, including unused RY and RY released from reservations, cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or refunded into money or another currency. Releasing a reservation makes RY available again within your account; it is not a monetary refund.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or other right that must be provided under applicable law.

6. Suspension or Termination

Rishta Yaqeen may restrict, suspend, or end access to the service where a person breaches these Terms of Service or where action is reasonably necessary to protect candidates, team members, others involved in the matchmaking process, or the service.

Where appropriate, we may inshallah first warn the person or ask them to stop the behaviour. Serious misconduct may result in immediate suspension or termination without a prior warning.

Anyone whose access has been suspended or terminated must not attempt to bypass that decision by creating another account or using another person to contact Rishta Yaqeen on their behalf.

Suspension or termination does not automatically determine how personal information is retained or deleted. Information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Delete your account under Settings → Privacy, or contact us by email at salam@rishtayaqeen.com.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may inshallah update these Terms of Service when the service, its rules, or applicable obligations change. The current version and its last-updated date will inshallah be published on this page.
